Ein Grund zu feiern: Die Lindy Fiesta ist zurück! Am 13. und 14. Mai 2023 sind Maxi & Agus und Joseph & Charlotte endlich wieder in Hamburg
In jeweils 10 Stunden/Level energiegeladenem Unterricht haben wir Gelegenheit mit ihnen den Lindy Hop zu feiern!
Joseph & Charlotte are currently two of the UK’s busiest dance teachers of African American dances such as the Lindy Hop, 20’s Charleston, Cake Walk, Blues and Authentic Jazz, inspiring people with their fun, high energy classes.
Having learnt from, inspired by and worked with some of the 1930’s elders such as Frankie Manning, Norma Miller and many early teachers of the Lindy Hop, they specialise in retaining the authenticity with lots of original moves, but with a modern, technical, historical, informative and a fun singing twist. You leave their classes, feeling excited like you’ve just seen an action movie.
For over 20 years they’ve taught and performed in almost 30 countries throughout Europe, USA, ASIA and Africa in theatres and venues such as the world famous Royal Albert Hall, Grand Palais for FIFA and much more.
They also run a dance school JiveSwing.Com, which has choreographed and appeared on a number of National TV, Radio programmes and Music Videos,
TV Adverts, Channel 4’s Royal Come Dine with Me, Dancing on Ice, ITV Britain’s Got Talent, and BBC TV Documentaries with BBC Strictly Judge, Len Goodman, Norma Miller, Joseph Sewell, et al, ‘Yolanda Be Cool’ (Americano) music video and the popular BBC’s Wartime in the hit BBC2 TV programme ‘Back in Time for Dinner’ . They also run the free online history group Swingopedia.
Throughout more than 15 years of dancing and teaching, he has both refined his own style and adopted and integrated many new trends and ideas. This experience has made him very versatile as a Lindy Hopper, with a strong focus on being able to connect to many partners.
Today, his greatest joy in a social dance is to draw inspiration from his partner’s movements. Being quick to respond, adapt and reply to what was just presented to him by his partner and the music, he creates a fun, witty and playful interaction that is great to watch and even greater to feel and share!
Maxi and Agus started dancing serveral years ago sharing the same body language and their enormous passion for jazz and dance. Both trained in different disciplines and dance a Lindy Hop characterized by smooth connection, sensitivity and fluidity. At the same time they deeply identify with authentic music and vernacular movement though as artists of improvisation they fuse and mix in all kind of styles into their swing dancing. The teaching of Agus is passionate and dedicated to innovation and research aiming to develop a dance accessible to everyone. Alongside Maxi, they work as performers and teachers, holding classes, workshops and seminaries in Buenos Aires, Argentina and abroad.

Intermediate
Du hast solide Kenntnisse in Lead & Follow, Swingout und Footwork und ein Repertoire an verschiedenen Lindy Hop-Moves und willst mehr; mindestens 1,5 Jahre regelmäßiges Training.
Intermediate/Advanced
Wie Intermediate plus: Du kannst spontan deine Moves abwandeln und auf deinen Partner eingehen (Lead ebenso wie Follow); mindestens 2,5 Jahre regelmäßiges Training.

Der Workshopbeitrag beträgt 206 € und enthält den Eintritt zum Dockside Swing am 13.05.2023
