Mai – es ist Zeit für die Lindy Fiesta – Ausgabe 9,5! Diesmal mit leicht geändertem Teacher-Line-Up:
Verletzungsbedingt gab es eine weitere Änderung im Line-Up:
Joseph&Charlotte (GB) und Maxi (ES)& Nicole (IT) kommen nach Hamburg um mit uns die Lindy Fiesta zu feiern!

JOSEPH & CHARLOTTE :
Joseph & Charlotte are currently two of the UK’s busiest dance teachers of African American dances such as the Lindy Hop, 20’s Charleston, Cake Walk, Blues and Authentic Jazz, inspiring people with their fun, high energy classes.
Having learnt from, inspired by and worked with some of the 1930’s elders such as Frankie Manning, Norma Miller and many early teachers of the Lindy Hop, they specialise in retaining the authenticity with lots of original moves, but with a modern, technical, historical, informative and a fun singing twist. You leave their classes, feeling excited like you’ve just seen an action movie.
They also run a dance school JiveSwing.Com, which has choreographed and appeared on a number of National TV, Radio programmes and Music Videos, TV Adverts, Channel 4’s Royal Come Dine with Me, Dancing on Ice, ITV Britain’s Got Talent, and BBC TV Documentaries with BBC Strictly Judge, Len Goodman, Norma Miller, Joseph Sewell, et al, ‘Yolanda Be Cool’ (Americano) music video and the popular BBC’s Wartime in the hit BBC2 TV programme ‘Back in Time for Dinner’ . They also run the free online history group Swingopedia.
Maxi & Nicole
Maxi:
He is one of the most outstanding references and fervent diffuser of the Lindy Hop (swing) in Argentina since 98 ‚.
He has trained as a dancer in the United States and Sweden. He took lessons with star dancers such as Frankie Manning, Norma Miller and Down Hampton.
An artist of improvisation and spontaneity, he lets himself be traversed by the Swing and this is how his body translates it.
Passionate about the dances related to the golden age of SWING (Lindy, Balboa, Blues, Rock & Roll) and influenced by the dances that preceded it, they find together a rich and varied style of movements that agree with the traditional and the current of the swing in constant evolution.
With more than 20 years as teacher around Latin America and Europe he has achieved a versatile and dynamic way of teaching that fills each class with energy and inspiration.
Nicole:
After a training in classical and contemporary ballet she arrives at Lindy Hop in 2015.
She travels throughout Europe to study with the best dancers.
The following year she began teaching Lindy Hop and Solo jazz in Turin.
In 2017 she founded her school „The Kitchen Swing“ and at the same time she began to compete
obtaining several podiums in solo jazz, Lindy hop (in both roles) and blues.
Nicole loves to have fun and experiment during social dance in the same way she loves to train in
the studio to create choreographies.
In class, Nicole shares technical details and tips for exploring and building the personality of each individual student
Level:
Wir bieten 2 Level bzw. Gruppen im Workshop an. Dabei sind Levelbeschreibungen wie „Beginner“, „Intermediate“, „Advanced“, „o.ä.“ relativ ungenaue Namensgebungen. Bei der Selbst-Einordnung in eine Gruppe sollte es das Ziel sein, für sich selbst etwas aus dem Wochenende mitzunehmen, sich selbst zu fordern aber nicht zu überfordern.
Level A: Du hast solide Kenntnisse in Lead & Follow, Swingout, Footwork und ein Repertoire an verschiedenen Lindy Hop Moves und willst MEHR; mindestens 1,5 Jahre regelmäßiger Unterricht.
Level B: Zusätzlich zu den in Gruppe A beschriebenen soliden Kenntnissen: Du kannst spontan deine Moves abwandeln und auf die Partner-Signale eingehen (Lead ebenso wie Follow); mindestens 4 Jahre regelmäßiger Unterricht.
Die Rollen:
Neben der Auswahl der klassischen Rollen Lead und Follow bieten wir die 3. Buchungsoption Flexible an: Wenn Du Dich als Flexible anmeldest, kannst Du in dem Level, in dem Du Dich anmeldest, sowohl Follow als auch Lead gemäß den Levelbeschreibungen tanzen und bist bereit, die Rolle zu tanzen, die für ein ausgewogenes Verhältnis Lead-Follow benötigt wird.

Eintritt jeweils 12,00€ an der Tür , frei für WS Teilnehmende.

Level:
We are offering 2 levels/groups at our workshop an.
But level descriptions like „Beginner“, „Intermediate“, „Advanced“ are just kind of unspecific names. While estimating which group you may fit in, it should be your goal to take something home from the weekend, challenge yourself but don’t overwhelm yourself.
Level A: you have solid skills in Lead & Follow, Swingout, Footwork and a variety of different Lindy Hop moves.
At least 1,5 years of regular classes.
Level B: in addition to the solid skills of level A: you are able to change your moves spontaneously and you are able to listen to the signals of your partner (follows as well as leads);
Roles:
In addition to the classic roles lead and follow we are offering the 3rd booking option „flexible“: if you are registering as flexible, you are able to dance lead as well as follow in that level and are willing to dance the role that is needed for an even lead-follow-ratio!

Entrance Fee is 12,00€ at the Door its included for Workshop Students .
We are celebrating the Lindy Fiesta with 2 parties – with Live music by the Hamburg Swinging All Stars .
Friday Party starts with a Crash Class by Charlotte & Joseph with Partner Mambo and is followed by our Live Band
